Previously... with the Rooplals...
After seeing their mother make out with a total stranger in public, Artee and Devika remain in shock. They scamper around a corner and watch as their mother gets in with this younger man. They share another brief kiss in the car and drive off together. Devika is devastated. Artee, more familiar with such scenarios, remains more composed, but is still affected.
They remain in the pool area until dark, discussing the subject. Devika sobs quietly and wants to vomit but Artee calms her down. Devika wishes she had her Slipknot CD with her. Both of them hesitate to go home. Artee suggests they go drink some rum but Devika says that is the worst idea ever.
Artee then suggests they chill out by the pool before they go home. She says that they should not make it their business and try to go about life as normal. But then an older man begins stalking them and they decide going home would be better.
When they get home, they sit on the couch and turn on the T.V., eager to get their mind off of the events that transpired earlier. But then Shobha joins them. They share a long uncomfortable silence together.
